Can-Do operates Mark Andy and Siat printing presses that give us the ability to print labels and carton sealing tapes. Also, these versatile machines allow Can-Do to print backing on other adhesive products. So, let us custom print your tapes and labels.

We have the ability to print up to three colors on these presses and can match any color the customer desires. The design to be printed is customized through the use of plates that allow high-speed production; but at the same time, Can-Do is able to print small quantities of your custom design.

Printed carton sealing tape is the biggest seller and most popular item. We typically use a white polypropylene tape that is printed with the logo or design of the customer. Generally speaking, Can-Do will print as few as five cartons and has the capability to print thousands of rolls on short notice.

Printing Application Success Stories

Stocking multiple printed tapes for one customer
One of Can-Do's customers has 72 different stocking units of product that are sold in many different markets, all across the United States. Each stocking unit has its own specific design and the customer has chosen to use a different printed carton sealing tape for each item. Sales by stocking unit vary. Can-Do is required to maintain a minimal amount of each of the 72 different printed tapes on its warehouse floor at all times in order to be able to service the customer's needs on a moment's notice.

While each design is not a large selling item unto itself, the whole group of printed tapes represents a large commitment. Customer service is critical. Can-Do's ability to provide just in time delivery of small quantities of custom product and our ability to replenish depleted items through flexible production scheduling combine to make Can-Do the vendor of choice. Furthermore, we were awarded this business as a national contract, proving to be the most competitive bidder with the full range of capabilities.

A complex job
One customer requested Can-Do print labels on a one-millimeter aluminum foil. We print the labels in black end-to-end on foil that is only 1.25" wide. The labels are kiss-cut to the liner, and waste surrounding the label is removed in process. The labels are rewound in such a way as to allow for automatic dispensing. In summary, we slit the foil, print the foil removing waste, kiss-cut the printed foil to the liner, and re-roll the material. This custom printing order demonstrates the complexity of certain jobs and Can-Do's ability to manufacture product to specification.
