Laminating Services
Can-Do National Tape has two laminators that can laminate substrates up to 62" in width. We have experience laminating foils with high temperature adhesive and polyester fabrics as well as laminating foams, both open and closed cell, with double sided polyester and transfer adhesives. We also are able to economically laminate materials that are less than 62" in width using a variety of rotary presses with heated rollers in addition to two and three rewind stations and take-up stands.
Can-Do incorporates heat into the laminating process with nip roll gapping. The nip roll allows lamination of products of various thicknesses. The state-of-the-art heating systems ensure a consistent bond across the web. When coupled with a programmed counter, the correct yardage is put-up on each roll.

Difficult automotive application
Can-Do National Tape is in the business of solving adhesive problems; so when a Tier 1 automotive supplier was looking for help with a difficult application, it sought our assistance. Our knowledgeable sales people were able to provide direction. Working closely with the customer's engineers, Can-Do created a process to solve the problem. Multiple heat laminations of film, foil, and adhesive, slit to specific widths and then precisely die cut to print allowed for economical production of highly engineered tight tolerance parts. Can-Do was able to sample products, develop prototypes, and produce parts in a short period of time, allowing our customer to solve the problem and make their customer happy.

Problem solving for an automotive manufacturer
Can-Do is ISO 9001:2000 Certified, allowing us to be a Tier 1 automotive supplier. We sell a variety of laminated foams, foils, and felts to Tier 1 automotive suppliers. These products are typically die-cut to various shapes and sizes and are used in the manufacture of component parts for automobiles.
When Can-Do's laminating capabilities are combined with our die-cut precision capabilities and adhesive application knowledge, we serve as a one-stop solution to your adhesive application problem, such as we did for one of our customers.
The customer came to us seeking assistance with a problem identified by an automotive manufacturer during testing of new vehicles. We were able to recommend a polyester backed foil that would shield an under-the-hood wire harness from engine heat. We assisted in the design of the solution, laminated the foil with the appropriate high temperature adhesive and polyester barrier, die-cut the material to the required shape, and delivered the component parts in time to allow for the successful introduction of the automotive model to the market.
