Sheeting
Can-Do has sheeting capabilities that allow us to cut products to specific lengths, from 1" to 120", letting you to free up valuable employee time. Typically, material is slit to a custom width and then is sheeted to the specified length, creating custom dimensions. We have two sheeting machines, one suited for material widths of less than 12" and the other suited for wide width materials.
The sheeting process improves efficiency and accuracy, especially if material is currently being cut by hand. The sheeting tolerance of 1/8" also saves time and improves consistency.
We are capable of sheeting foam products, felt, hook and loop, foils, thin gauge plastics, and other materials.
Sheeting Application Success Stories

Multi-step production of component parts
Can-Do Tape supplies many component parts for automotive, appliance and other industrial manufacturers. These parts generally have adhesive on at least one side and are then used in assembly of the end product. Many of our production processes for component parts entail several steps, which may include sheeting to length.
Can-Do supplies a Tier 1 automotive supplier with die-cut foam parts that are used for sound dampening. We purchase jumbo rolls of foam that are produced to tight tolerance thickness, and we receive the jumbo rolls in long length form, 54" wide. We then laminate this foam with an adhesive that has been tested, approved, and specified by the automotive manufacturer. Then, we slit the laminated foam to widths that allow for the material to be run through a die cutting process on a machine that has a rotary die, cutting material to a specified width and to the liner. These rolls then go through a sheeting process to produce the final product, die cut foam parts. The sheeting process causes the foam parts to be cut to the specified length.

Hoisting solutions
Another customer required a product facilitating the movement of heavy liquids in flexible containers. Our salesperson designed the product around a heavy-duty duct tape, used for its high tack and durable nature. The duct tape was slit to the appropriate width and then laminated with a reinforcing material. The laminated rolls of duct tape are then sheeted to length while being die-cut to an exacting size. The customer now sells this product to other companies that use it for hoisting liquids in flexible containers.
