Scotch® High Performance Masking Tape 2693

Scotch® High Performance Masking Tape 2693 is a smooth, heavy duty, mini-crepe paper masking tape suitable for most paint masking applications. Designed for automotive, truck and bus applications where very aggressive room temperature and high temperature holding is required.

• Offers excellent paint masking performance with high solids paints and urethane clear coats used in the transportation industry.
• Holding power resists the most stringent applications and bake cycles.
• Can be removed warm or cold from most surfaces without adhesive transfer.
• Has been laboratory tested on painted steel panels and found to remove cleanly at bake temperatures up to 325°F (163°C) for 30 minutes. The actual temperature and time performance may be higher or lower for a given application. Clean removal can vary dependent on surface type, processing conditions such as multiple bakes, type of paint involved as well as the temperature of the surface at removal. We recommend testing the product under your conditions to determine your performance limits.

• Balanced construction with a stronger backing gives this tape easy removal properties without slivering.
• Good resistance to adhesive transfer on automotive type rubber moldings when removed at room temperatures.
• Should not be subjected to outdoor exposure or prolonged exposure to sunlight as tape may become difficult to remove.

Store under normal conditions of 70°F (21°C) and 50% R.H. in the original carton.

To obtain best performance, use this product within 12 months from date of manufacture.
