What is Non-Adhesive Tape?
Non-adhesive tapes, films or laminates do not have an applied adhesive but may be self-adhering. Commonly used self-adhering tapes include electrical insulation, surface protection, safety, color coding, packaging, hook-and-loop, wiring, harness etc.

Another example of a non-adhesive tape is a polytetrafluoroethylene PTFE thread-sealing tape or known as plumber’s tape. The film is used in sealing pipe threads. This non-adhesive tape is sold cut to specific widths and wound on a spool, making it easy to wind around pipe threads. It is also known by the trade name of Teflon tape. The tape also works as a deformable filler and thread lubricant, helping to seal the joint without hardening or making it more difficult to tighten.
